Time Off Requests

The time off request feature allows employees to request vacation, sick leave, or other time away from work. Managers can review and approve or deny these requests, ensuring proper coverage.

Submitting a Time Off Request
Step 1: Access Time Off

Navigate to "Scheduling" → "Time Off" from the main menu.

Step 2: Create Request

Click "Request Time Off" or "New Request" to open the request form.

Step 3: Enter Details

Fill in the request information:

  • Start date and time
  • End date and time
  • Type of time off (vacation, sick, personal, etc.)
  • Reason or notes (optional)
Step 4: Submit

Submit the request. Your manager or administrator will be notified and can approve or deny it.

Managing Time Off Requests (For Managers)

Managers can review all pending requests:

  1. Go to "Time Off" to see all requests
  2. Review each request and check for schedule conflicts
  3. Approve or deny with optional comments
  4. Approved requests automatically block those time slots from scheduling
Viewing Time Off Status

Employees can check the status of their requests:

  • Pending: Waiting for manager approval
  • Approved: Time off has been granted
  • Denied: Request was not approved (with reason if provided)
Tips for Employees
  • Submit requests as far in advance as possible
  • Check your schedule before requesting to avoid conflicts
  • Be specific about the reason if required by your company
  • Follow up with your manager if you don't hear back within a reasonable time
